CERAMIC ANIMAL NECKLACES

Ceramic Animal Necklaces are unique to California Jewels.  Each one is individually designed and handcrafted using the creative imagination of our designers.  A large variety of bead colors is used in  making the necklaces...so rarely are any two exactly alike unless they are custom ordered to be the same.  These necklaces at 17" to 18" long are still $10.00 each...the same price they were when introduced  in November of 2000. 

No one anticipated how popular they would be with adults as well as children.  A Mrs. Fox bought a fox...a Mrs. Lyon bought a lion...and a skunk train driver proudly chose a skunk to wear around his neck!  One gentleman was gifted with a bald eagle on a 23" red...white...and blue striped necklace.  Another customer bought two frog necklaces...one for her and one for a friend to wear while they were in Calaveras County for the festivities. 

Ceramic Animal Necklaces are made with gold-plated (gp) or silver plated (sp) lobster clasps and can be ordered with 14k gold-filled (gf) or sterling silver (s) fishhook or spring ring clasps.  Changing from a gp or sp clasp to a gf or s clasp usually adds $3.00 to the cost of the necklace.  Longer custom ordered necklaces are usually made with gf or s fishhook clasps included in the price.

Which animal is the most popular?  Depends on who you ask.  Some people are collecting them.  One person  has at least 14!

  • a necklace with 3-5 animals and more crystal...with length and cost determined by how many animals and how much crystal is on it...$40.00 to $85.00. 

Vicki wears one with 5 jungle animals (a cheetah - elephant - giraffe - hippo - and tiger) on it...and another with insects (a bee - butterfly - dragonfly - ladybug - and scorpion) on it.  Two of her creations are shown below: the one on the left has 5 California birds and the other has 5 dragonflies on it.
