ORDERING INFORMATION 

When you want to order something...please email or phone us and ask if it's still available. 

When you phone and get our answering machine...please leave a message including your telephone number and area code...and the best day and time to call you back.  Please do the same if you send us your telephone number by email. Tell us where you are so we know what time zone you're in before we call you back.  If you don't hear from us within 24 hours...please be patient.  We will get back to you...usually in a day or two...but occasionally a bit longer than that. 

When you contact us...we need to know what you want to buy and how many.  A description is given below each picture...along with the price of the item.  This is to help you tell us what you want. 

If you're not sure what you want...let's talk about it (by phone or email) and we'll help you decide.  Vicki or Clifford will discuss the details with you.  If it's a custom order...one or both of them may actually be designing and handcrafting the jewelry you order.     

We do not share information about our customers with others (See PRIVACY POLICY below)...however...we do need to know the following to process your order.

1 - Your name and complete mailing address including zip code.   Sales tax will be added to orders delivered in California.

2 - Email or phone number.   So we can get in touch with you if we need to discuss your order.   Also...we will send you an email to let you know when your order has been sent. 

3 - Method of payment.  Will you pay for your order by PayPal...credit card...GiveAnything.com Gift Certificate...personal check...money order or cashier's check?  

California Jewels accepts:      

When paying by

• credit card  we need the card number...expiration date...three digit number on the back near the signature block and the name as it appears on the card.

• GiveAnything.com Gift Certificate  we need the certificate number...value of the certificate and expiration date. 

If your purchase exceeds the gift certificate value...please indicate how you will pay the difference. 

If your total purchase (after applicable sales tax plus shipping & handling are added) is less than the value of the GiveAnything.com Gift Certificate...only the total of your California Jewels order will be processed and the difference will remain on your GiveAnything.com Gift Certificate. No cash will be given for the difference.

• personal check...money order...or cashier's check:  you need our address so you know where to send your payment made out to California Jewels. 

There is a $13.00 minimum shipping and handling (s&h) charge on most orders.  But... if it's possible and you pickup your order from us or we can deliver it to you locally...s&h is free! 

ALL ORDERS SHIPPED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES VALUED AT OVER US $100.00 MUST BE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE BY PAYPAL OR DEBIT CARD.  (ALL BANKING FEES ARE FOR THE PURCHASER'S ACCOUNT.)  NO EXCEPTIONS.

THE NITTY GRITTY:

• All orders must be pre-paid.  

• We do not ship any orders C.O.D. 

• No returns or exchanges without prior authorization from California Jewels. 

• Custom orders cannot be returned.

• No cash refunds. Credit given towards future purchases only. 

• All shipments are sent by Priority Mail, certified, "return-receipt requested" via the United States Postal Service after payment is confirmed unless other arrangements are made with us ahead of time. 

• Delivery is usually within 5 business days after shipment date. 

• Free gift boxes and bows included. 

CUSTOM MADE JEWELRY 

If you want us to...

• make something you saw on our site in a different color...with different stones, hooks, clasp  - or

• design and handcraft one-of-a-kind jewelry for you to wear with a special outfit - or

• design and handcraft  jewelry for you and/or your wedding party to match or complement your color scheme - or

• design and handcraft necklaces and/or earrings for your team with you team colors and appropriate sports ball - or

• design and handcraft jewelry for your school or team fundraising event with your team or school mascot and/or colors - or

• restring or redesign inherited jewelry to give it a new look so you can enjoy wearing it!

Please read the following carefully and write down your answers to the questions before you contact us.  It will help you tell us what you want to order.  If you're not sure what you want...describe what you want to wear the jewelry with or send us a photo of the ensemble you want to wear it with...and we'll make suggestions to help you decide.  Most of the questions seems relevant to women but men have ordered bracelets... earrings...and necklaces from us for themselves...so if your order is for a man...you will still need to answer one or two of the questions so we know what you want. 

• What color do you want your jewelry to be...or what color do you want to wear it with?

• What is the neckline of the dress or top like?

• Will you be wearing your hair up or down...or is it short?

• What kind of hooks or clips do you want on your earrings?

• What kind of clasp do you want on your bracelet...anklet...or necklace?  

After we've discussed the details of your order including price and your payment is confirmed, California Jewels  will make what you want.  You should receive your order within one to two weeks of when payment is confirmed.  If you're in a hurry...credit card and PayPal orders process faster than others...and Priority Mail should get it to you in 3-5 days.  And if you are in an even bigger hurry...Express Mail is faster but it costs more!  

If we think your order will take longer than two weeks to complete...we'll let you know before we process your payment and begin making anything.  We'll also tell you how long we think it will take so you know ahead of time.  It can take longer if we have to order more crystal or something else.  

PRIVACY POLICY

We do not share information about our customers with others nor do we sell any names, addresses (email or snail mail), phone numbers or other personal information about our customers with anyone. 

We keep the information you give us securely offline to make it easier for you to place future orders.  Any information you give us is used solely by  California Jewels to process your orders.

After you first order...

• you tell us your name...and what you want to order. 

• we confirm what you want...and ask you if you want your order processed the same as before  and it's done. 

We'll already have the information needed to complete your order so we don't have to ask you for it again and again.  Occasionally we need to ask for updated information (new expiration date on your credit card).  And, all this is usually done by email or telephone.
